Cervano is away from it all, in the middle of the Alto Garda Regional park, perfect for relaxing. As the Italians say, “dolce far niente” or “how sweet it is to do nothing”, but if you want, here are some of the many activities on offer locally.

first and foremost, observing the wildlife in the regional park: you can watch birds, deer, wild boars, badgers, foxes, freshwater crayfish and a large variety of colourful butterfly species

to play golf, you only have to jump out of your (very comfortable) bed and tee off in the golf course just below Cervano

perfect for shopping, we have two of the best farmers’ markets of the area, the smaller one in Toscolano every Thurday, the very big one every Saturday in Salo’, a nearby town where you can also find many small boutiques and luxury shops

for horseback riding, we have a horse yoga teacher on the property who can accompany you on long rides through the park, on dedicated trails where no cars are allowed

to swim, the lake is only a five-minute drive away, and there is a large pebble beach that does not charge for entry, with car park (paying) nearby

an excellent camp for windsurfing is 10km north of Cervano, where the lake narrows and there is always a strong wind. You and/or your children can also take sailing courses in nearby Toscolano or Gargnano. Gargnano is the home of the Centomiglia regatta, which is held every second weekend of September and is the biggest lake regatta in Europe.


If you love modern art, one of the most important museums of modern art in Italy, the MART ( ) is only a 40-minute drive away in Rovereto, but if you prefer something more traditional, you can go to Mantua to admire the frescoes in the Duke’s palace and the Tea Palace, both excellent examples of the work of Mantegna. if you want even more art and architecture, we are halfway between Milan and Venice (about 2 hours) where you can easily go for a daytrip

those who like amusement parks can visit Gardaland, about half an hour’s drive across the lake via the ferry boat or, at one hour and a half, the biggest graffiti park in Europe, Naquane National Park in

Valcamonica, where the antique Camunes left more that 3000 signs of their presence on the rokes or

perfect for opera buffs, the famous Arena di Verona is only an hour away. We can book a ticket for you

for relaxing in a spa, the thermal baths of Sirmione are only a 30-minute drive away

those interested in history or literature might like to follow in the footsteps of Lord Byron and Goethe, strolling in the nearby towns of Gardone Rivera and Salo’, where all the great writers of the nineteenth century stopped during their Grand Tour; by the way, D.H. Lawrence (author of Lady Chatterley’s Lover) was a guest in our house at the beginning of 1900). In Gardone, you can also visit the Vittoriale, the eccentric residence of one of Italy’s most well-known poets, Gabriele d’Annunzio, lover of Eleonora Duse, where you can also attend operas performed in the small private outdoor theatre in his garden.
